Dutch company Miniot has launched the second-generation version of its gravity-defying vertical Wheel turntable. The turntable, which plays records upside down, is priced at €1,999 ($2,142), over four times the cost of a good turntable. Reviewers found the device enhanced the vinyl experience due to vertical playback, but circumstances leading up to the launch have been complicated. The turntable was funded on Kickstarter back in 2017, but over four years late and despite hundreds of thousands in personal loans, backers have still not received their order. Miniot has also down-sized its operation, taking out an extra mortgage on the founders’ home and developing its own components after being unhappy with outsourced production. Despite doubts, Miniot hopes the machine will be successful based on its unique features and sound quality.

“Wait no more for a unique vertical turntable- Miniot Wheel 2 is worth the wait! Enjoy high-quality sound & display your vinyl collection in style.”
