Twitter has claimed copyright infringement, requesting that some of the platform’s source code be taken down from Github. There is no report on how long the code was online for, or the extent of the leak. Twitter executives suspect the leak was the work of a former employee who left “within the last year”. Since Elon Musk bought Twitter last October, the company has lost approximately 80% of its staff. Musk announced that he values Twitter at $20bn in a memo sent to employees last week, before reports of the source code leak emerged. The Wii U and 3DS eShops will close today at 5 PM PT (8 PM ET), meaning no new games can be purchased for these consoles. Nintendo owners will still be able to redownload titles that they have already purchased. Intel co-founder Gordon Moore has died at the age of 94. Moore famously predicted the miniaturisation of computers in 1965, stating that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit would double every year, leading to the creation and production of smaller and more powerful chips that would, in turn, enable advancements in technology.
