Twitter gets ready for potential threats as source code is leaked online. #SecurityFirst #StayVigilant

Parts of Twitter’s source code have been leaked online, potentially exposing vulnerabilities in the platform that hackers could exploit. The leak, which Twitter believes may have occurred at the hands of a disgruntled former employee, was discovered on the code-hosting platform GitHub. Although Twitter has since had the code removed, it fears that the information may have already been exposed on the site for several months. Twitter is now attempting to have GitHub reveal the identity of the person who leaked the source code, along with the names of anyone who may have downloaded it. The social media platform was acquired by Elon Musk’s company for $44bn in October 2022.
