Twitter has released details of its revamped application programming interface (API) after initially announcing changes to its developer policies. A free tier aimed at bots and “testing” services will allow accounts to post 1,500 tweets monthly but won’t provide access to any other features. A $100 a month “basic” tier allows for up to 3,000 tweets monthly at the user level and up to 50,000 monthly at the app level. An enterprise tier provides access for businesses but Twitter hasn’t released details on this yet. A lot of services that use old Twitter APIs might not work anymore.
