Read, a meeting intelligence tool co-founded by former Foursquare CEO David Shim, has introduced a new feature that creates a two-minute clip with important pointers from hour-long meetings. The feature uses large language models combined with video analysis to understand the most notable parts of the meeting, and incorporates participants’ reactions in the highlight reel. Read provides analytics like sentiment and participant engagement scores to give knowledge about the effectiveness of a meeting. During a preview period, agency clients experienced a 30%+ increase in productivity for employees. In January, Read introduced a text-based summary powered by OpenAI’s GPT model. The company plans to incorporate text summaries in the videos using captions in the coming weeks. The TikTok-styled short video summary can appeal to a person looking to skim through multiple missed meetings.
