PC version of The Last of Us receives initial patch to address performance problems.

The launch of The Last of Us Part I on PC has been riddled with issues, including crashes, performance problems, and visual glitches, leading to overwhelmingly negative reviews on Steam. Sony-owned developer Naughty Dog has responded by issuing a patch to address “several performance & hitch related issues,” while enabling diagnostic information to better investigate crashes related to shader building and other stability problems. The team is closely monitoring player reports and working on a follow-up patch with more bug fixes. Many fans are questioning whether the rushed PC port was intended to capitalize on the success of HBO’s The Last of Us TV show.
