Microsoft’s ‘Security Copilot’ enlists ChatGPT to detect security breaches.

Microsoft has launched a new AI-powered cybersecurity platform called Security Copilot that consolidates and interprets data from multiple security tools to provide a broader picture of an organisation’s cybersecurity status. While existing machine learning security tools are effective at monitoring specific domains such as individual devices, Security Copilot analyses separate data streams to identify threats that may have been overlooked, according to Microsoft’s principal group programme manager for the security team, Sarah Jakkal. Security Copilot is powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4, but also includes a proprietary Microsoft security-specific model.
