Microsoft has issued a security update for Windows to fix a bug that could expose sensitive information in screenshots taken using the operating system’s tool. Dubbed “aCropalypse”, the flaw was first identified on Google Pixel smartphones, before researchers identified a similar vulnerability affecting the Windows image cropping tool. The glitch allowed users to recover any information that had been cropped from images overtime. Microsoft urged Windows users to install the emergency update as soon as possible. Also, the technology firm is testing a cryptocurrency wallet that has been built on the Ethereum blockchain, which could allow users to hold and store Ether tokens and other Ethereum-based cryptocurrencies.
