The 2021 Watches and Wonders (W&W) event showcased several watch brandsβ newest releases, including Oris, Hermes, Rolex, and A Lange & Sohne. Oris launched an updated version of its ProPilot Altimeter model, which now has an altimeter that can measure up to 19,700 feet, an increased power reserve of 56 hours, and a lighter carbon-fiber case. Hermes introduced the H08 Chronograph, an all-terrain watch with a sporty spirit that features a strengthened carbon-fiber case through the use of powdered graphene. The brand also released a chronograph version of the H08 that has a single pusher for the chronograph function set within the winding crown. Rolex presented the Yacht-Master 42 RLX Titanium, a highly functional watch that weighs less due to its usage of a grade 5 titanium case. A Lange & Sohne released the Odysseus Chronograph, a highly unique automatic chronograph watch that features centrally mounted stopwatch second and minute counters and discrete pushers that set the date functions and operate the stopwatch elements. Overall, these brands have introduced unique and functional watches that showcase the intersection of technology and luxury in watchmaking.
