Arrested Development, the popular TV show, will remain on Netflix after the streamer reached a deal with 20th Century Studios, which holds the series’ rights. Netflix planned to remove all five seasons of the show, but the licensing issues were resolved. Under the new agreement, Netflix will exclusively stream Arrested Development, and Hulu subscribers will lose access to the first three seasons later this year. The deal will also allow Disney to sell linear TV rights to all five seasons, potentially leading to the show airing on television networks, whether it belongs to Disney or not. Arrested Development, which stars Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, the late Jessica Walter, and other stars, was one of Netflix’s first original series and has continued to be a staple on the platform.
