Apple Music Classical, a new app focused on classical music, has been launched by Apple. The app was born from Primephonic, a company that Apple acquired in 2021. Apple Music Classical will offer curated playlists and composer biographies to help listeners get more acquainted with the genre. The app’s catalog contains more than 5 million tracks and supports up to 192 kHz/24 bit hi-res lossless audio. However, the app is not available to subscribers of the Apple Music Voice Plan and lacks a native iPad version. Additionally, offline downloads will not be available at launch. Despite these limitations, the app is still a good way to learn more about classical music.
