The feature, which is accessed by adding the term “mix” to the user’s chosen search term, is designed to create an algorithmic mix of similar tracks. While the company has acknowledged that it may sometimes offer playlists that are not an exact match with the user’s intention, it promises that each playlist will feature a balance of well-known tracks and new discoveries. The feature is available to both free and premium users who search in English.
